Michael Shawn "Mike" Jackson, 55 of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, September 28, 2026.

The son Allen Fred and Patricia Anne (Deierling) Jackson, he was born September 9, 1971 in Ft. Collins, Colorado. His father preceded Michael in death.

Mike is survived by his mother, Patricia Jackson of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Sarah Jackson of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Mark (JiJi) Jackson of Springfield, VA; one nephew, Daniel Jackson and one niece, Jenna Jackson both of Springfield, VA.

Mike was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1990, and in 1994 graduated from Northwest Missouri State University of Maryville, MO. He was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, member of the Kirksville Optimist Club, and member of Bethel Community Church. He was also active with the Arrow Rock Stock & Trading Company where he was involved in Civil War Reenactments.

Mike was involved in the Green Hills Farm Project, loved traveling to Greece, farming, enjoyed his cow/calf operation, raising sheep, was an avid Chiefs fan, and liked replacing his property walnut trees. He loved his friends and family and was a very proud uncle to his niece and nephew. He also loved his dogs.

Mike has been cremated and services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
