Roger Dale Wayman, 64, passed away on August 7, 2026. He was born on December 30, 1961, in Kirksville, Missouri to Donald and Lois Ann (Brawner) Wayman.

Roger grew up on a farm near Novinger in rural Adair County, Missouri. Roger enjoyed driving his 4-wheeler on the farm and helping with many different chores. Roger also enjoyed keeping the yard mowed on his John Deere lawnmower.

Roger graduated from Adair Co. R-1 School in Novinger, Missouri and began working at the Frederick Rollins Sheltered Workshop in the afternoons while still in high school. Roger continued to work at the Sheltered Workshop/Community Opportunities until its closure in April, 2024. Once the workshop closed, Roger started work at High Hope Employment Services until he retired in March, 2026 because of his health. Roger truly enjoyed working and had an impressive work ethic. Roger did not want to miss work for any reason and did not feel work should be closed for any reason. Roger loved to play BINGO and go bowling at Leisure World.

Roger was a helper by nature and was a very hard worker. Roger could always find things needing to be done. Roger wanted to keep busy and be helpful. Roger read all the family water meters back in the day. Roger hauled off the neighborhood trash with his 4-wheeler and trailer, which he could back up better than most. On the OATS bus, Roger was the helper assisting anyone in a wheelchair, when the driver would allow it.

Roger is survived by his mother, Lois Ann Wayman; three siblings, Rusty (Kim) Wayman, Susan (Paul) Hazen, and Nancy (Tim) Findling, all of the area; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Donald Wayman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Travis-Noe Funeral Home from noon to 2:00 pm with services directly following the visitation. Burial will be at the Novinger Cemetery following the funeral service.
