Wendell Wayne Adams, 89, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 14th at his home.
The son of Cleve and Juanita (Sevits) Adams, he was born September 11, 1936 in Kirksville, Missouri.
Wayne is survived by his son-in-law and daughter, Charlie and Pamela (Adams) Koch of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Noah Koch of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicholas and Brooklyn Koch of Kansas City, Missouri; two nephews and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley (Miller) Adams, his parents, and his brother Winfred Adams.
Wayne was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1954. After graduation he was employed in the plumbing and HVAC trade services. Wayne and Shirley then purchased a farm in Kirksville, where they successfully operated a dairy farm for over 30 years. He served as a board member of Dairy Farmers of America for several years. He continued working the farm until his death. He enjoyed working on the farm, hunting, fishing, bowling, and riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 20th at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville followed by graveside services at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.
