Aaron William Chrisman, 84, of Greentop, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Aaron was born on November 24, 1941 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of the late Walter and Mona (Stafford) Chrisman. On November 12, 1960 in Livonia, Missouri, Aaron was united in marriage to Jacquetta "Jackie" Blue.

Early in his career Aaron worked at rock quarries in Grinnell and Iowa City, Iowa. Later he assembled prefab homes in Iowa City. After moving back to Missouri, Aaron worked in construction. Prior to retirement, he worked with his brother, Bradley, laying underground cable.

Aaron was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be remembered as a kind and loving man. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter and was always happy when they came to visit. He loved the little children at church as well. He will be deeply missed by his family and church family.

Aaron came from a musical family and enjoyed playing his guitar with friends and family. He appreciated good fiddle tunes as well as old time church music.

Aaron was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Kirksville, Missouri.

Aaron is survived by his wife Jackie of sixty-six years; children, Ron (Mary) Chrisman of Greentop, MO; grandchildren, Michaela Chrisman, Jacob (Shyanne) Chrisman, Zach Chrisman, and Tasha Chrisman, and great-granddaughter Avery Parker. He was the honorary grandpa to Caleb Baker, Anna Sivard, Ariel Baker, and Micah McLain; his brothers, Roger Chrisman of Green Castle, MO, Bradley (Betty) Chrisman of Kirksville, MO, and Mike (Arlene) Chrisman of Kirksville, MO; sisters, Grace Starbuck of Queen City, MO, and Christine (Eddie) Pierce of Pleasant View, TN; daughter-in-law, Beth Chrisman of Kirksville, MO; sister-in-law, Jeanetta Chrisman of Kirksville, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Aaron was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Debbie Chrisman; son Kevin Chrisman; brother, Duane Chrisman; and sister, Sharon Boecker.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2026, with family receiving friends from noon to service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Pastor Brandon Rhea will officiate and interment will follow the service at Hazel Creek Cemetery in rural Kirksville.
