Ann Renee (Eitel) Paris
-
Ann Renee (Eitel) Paris , 65, of western Adair County went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, July 4, 2026, surrounded by her children at her family home on “Eitel Ridge” where she grew up. Ann was a devoted, loyal and loving friend, daughter, niece, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother, who will be sorely missed.
Ann was born in Kirksville, MO on January 5, 1961 to Kenneth and Barbara (Johnston) Eitel. She enjoyed her youth as the fourth generation to live on the family farm on the western edge of Adair County. Ann graduated from Novinger High School in 1979 and Northeast Missouri State University (NMSU; now Truman State) in 1983.
After high school, Ann married Randy Paris of rural Putnam County on July 21, 1979. Ann grew up attending Pure Air Baptist Church where she accepted Christ as her savior at a young age. She later joined Fellowship Baptist Church in Kirksville. Ann grew up as a member of the Liberty 4-H Club. She showed Angus cattle locally and won the Adair County 4-H Show (interestingly, with a Simmental cross steer) her senior year of high school.
Ann was a very creative, thoughtful, and talented person who did many types of work. In the 1980s she designed window displays at Sieren’s Palace in Kirksville and worked as a clothes and fabric buyer with different local stores, including Sarah’s Fabrics. She also had a custom sewing and alterations business, and even worked as a nurse for a short
time. She made all her dresses throughout high school and her wedding dress. She also made her daughters’ outfits for music and dance performances, prom, graduations, weddings, and more. She taught her kids how to do everything “the old fashioned way”.
As her kids grew up and her grandkids were born, she never missed an opportunity to visit them and make them things. She even took her first flight in 2018 to California for a family trip with all her children.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; aunts and uncles Reuben Eitel; Francis and Leora Case; Harold and Faye Parsell; Nile and Aldeane Eitel; Kenneth and Veneta Burns; Dr. Harvey and Betty Swords; cousins Jill Johnston Burke, Jeffrey Johnston, Steve Burns, Fred Swords, Johnny Case, Jerry Case, and Sharon Fry.
Ann is survived by her children Brittany Paris (Ryan) of Mount Holly, NJ; Cybil Shepherd (Brent) of Golden, CO; Faith Beller (Joel) of Nashville, TN; Joshua Eitel (fiancée Julianna) of Jefferson City, MO; and her beloved grandchildren Teddy Shepherd; Greyson, Ryman, and Stetson Beller.
