Donna Marie (Edwards) Morton, 84, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026 at Kirksville Manor Care Center.

Born June 3, 1942 in Salida, Colorado, Donna was the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Murphy) Edwards. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Olie Ramsour; and five brothers, Milton Pinkston, Robert Edwards, Charles Edwards, Rupert Edwards, and Westley Edwards. In 1960 Donna was united in marriage to Douglas Orval Morton.

Donna is survived by her husband Douglas of sixty-six years; one son, Rupert Morton of Des Moines, IA; one daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Joe Platz of Kirksville, MO; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Andy) Starbro, Charles (Sarah) Morton, Jessica Morton, Justin Platz, Joshua Platz, Jordan Platz, and Chayna Platz; as well as ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donna graduated from Buena Vista High School in Buena Vista, Colorado. She moved to Kirksville in 1972 to make her home. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Donna enjoyed bird watching, horses, and all animals. She loved going to church and was an active member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star while in Colorado.

Family will receive friends during a visitation which will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Pastor Sean Killin will officiate the service and interment will follow at Hazel Creek Cemetery, northwest of Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Platz, Joshua Platz, Justin Platz, Dana Krider, Ron Chrisman, and Michael Shoop.
