Emma Lea (Pipes) Creason, 78, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 23, 2026 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born September 19, 1948 in Green Castle, Missouri, Emma was the daughter of the late Eldon Elmer and Emma Marie (Haggy) Pipes. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Garland and Elmer Dean Pipes. On August 4, 1966 in Kirksville, Missouri, Emma was united in marriage to George Creason who preceded her in death on September 26, 2021.

Emma is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joie and Tammy Creason and Stacie and Nicki Creason all of Kirksville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Georgie and Leo Parizo of Kirksville, MO; five grandchildren, Christopher Parizo, Shelbie Erwin-Coy, Miranda Stewart, Cody Creason, and Kayla Zesch; as well as four great-grandchildren, Charlie Erwin, McKenzie Erwin, Oscar Stewart, and Wyatt Zesch.

Emma received her education in the Kirksville public and high schools. In the past Emma worked at Grim-Smith Hospital, Kirksville Manor Care Nursing Home, worked in housekeeping, and for Weber Bus Company, as a bus aid. She enjoyed yard sales, thrift stores, collecting jewelry, and traveling. Most of all Emma loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Funeral service will be held at Travis-Noe Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating. Interment will follow the service at Refuge Cemetery in rural Kirksville.
