Thomas Jay Snyder,64, formally of Dresbach, Mn. passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Kirksville, MO.

Born in Peoria, IL, on September 10, 1960, he was the last son of Billy and Helen (Hoey) Snyder.

Affectionately known as TJ, he spent his childhood in central Illinois and graduated from Eureka High School. Pursuing his passion for technology, TJ attended NCR Trade School, and moved to Des Moines, IA to pursue his career and there is where he met and married the love of his life, Jodi Foster, on August 10,1985 and they were married for 33 years until she passed in 2018. Life was never boring as he became the father of 7 children, and over the years grandfather to 14 grandchildren.

He loved living on the Mississippi River and spending time camping, canoeing and being outdoors with his family. He was loyal, humble, kind and greatly loved by everyone who knew him. He was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and loved spending time teaching people about God’s kingdom. He was an avid lover of music, family and his faith.

TJ was preceded in death by his wife Jodi, mother Helen and father Billy, 3 brothers, John, David and Tim Snyder and 2 nephews Ryan Snyder and Brian Haines.

TJ is survived by all 7 children, Amber (Steve) Judge, Bud Foster, Jessie Kaczorowski, Bryan Foster, McKenna (Johannes) Kor, Kyle Snyder, Samuel Snyder. Also surviving are 4 siblings, Joe (Andrea) Snyder, Marie (Richard) Haines, Jim (MaryLynn) Snyder, Kathy (Mark) Dunn and sister-in-law Jill Snyder along with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial for TJ on March 15th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 300 Brewington Ave, Kirksville, Mo 63501.
