Margaret Jeanette (Keim) Niece, 93, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024 at The Pines in Kirksville.

Born November 15, 1930 in Winigan, Missouri, Jeanette was the daughter of the late Jacob and Iva Evelyn (Peavler) Keim. On March 28, 1948 in Kirksville, Missouri, Jeanette was united in marriage to Elven Wayne Niece who preceded her in death on March 7, 2009. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bud Keim; sister-in-law, Margaret Keim, and a granddaughter in infancy.

Jeanette is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Joyce Niece of Greentop, MO; two step-grandchildren, Bryan (Grace) March and Matt (Tiffany) March; four step-great-grandchildren, Lyndi, Lilyan, Dyan, and Autumn March; as well as two nephews, Larry (Judy) Keim, and Jim (Mindy) Keim.

Jeanette resided most of her life in Adair County where she attended Radical Ridge School, Willmathsville School, and graduated from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1948. She was employed seven years at McClellans Dime Store and thirty-three years for First National Bank (Bank Midwest) until retiring.

Jeanette enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She was a member of Hamilton Street Baptist Church of Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024 with family receiving friends for one hour before the service in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. The service will be officiated by Chuck Watson and interment will follow at Queen City Cemetery in Queen City, MO.

Pallbearers will be Larry Keim, Jim Keim, Larry Moore, Hal Moore, Matt March, and Bryan March.

Memorial donations in memory of Jeanette may be made to the Queen City Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
