Bobby Gale Salsberry, 67 of Novinger, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, May 15, 2024 at his home.

The son of Edwin and Margie (Davis) Salsberry he was born December 20, 1956 just a minute or two after his twin brother Billy Dale Salsberry in Novinger, Missouri.

Bobby is survived by his sisters, Janice Frost of Stahl, MO, Barbara Burke of Baring, MO; and his brothers, Eddie Salsberry of Kirksville, MO, Billy Salsberry and wife Carol of Queen City, MO, and Frankie Salsberry of Novinger, MO.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, three brothers, four sisters, aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.

Bobby was a lifelong resident of Novinger where he received his education, graduating from Novinger R-I High School. While in high school, Bobby won many creative writing awards. Bobby worked twenty-five years at Florsheim Shoe Factory, thirty years at Leisure World Lanes, and twenty years at Hightower Wholesale.

His number one love, was bowling, he was one of the best in the State. He bowled over thirty perfect games of 300 and many series of over 800, amazing! He won every trophy in bowling that was possible to win. Bobby bowled over forty years on leagues every night of the week. He was Association Secretary for almost as many years. He loved the competition of bowling and met life long friends along the way.

As a kid growing up he had a green thumb for planting trees and flowers. To this day his house and yard was filled with unique plants and trees. Some of his hobbies was making old rusty antiques look like brand new items. He loved finding arrowheads and old Indian pottery, enjoyed stamp collecting, and anything to do with JFK. Bobby was a pet lover of cats, he had many throughout his life span, all buried in his back yard, decorated in a memorial. Bobby also enjoyed fishing at the old river with his brothers and finding mushrooms.

Public visitation will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Coonfield officiating. Interment will follow at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, MO.

Memorial donations in memory of Bobby may be made to his brother Billy Salsberry and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
