Marjorie Maxine (Houghton) Frady, Hyde, Bausell, 92, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, peacefully at The Pines in Kirksville, MO.

Born September 11, 1930 in Sperry, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gival and Rita (Young) Houghton and grandparents, David and Ethel Houghton; one brother, Leland Devere Houghton; one half brother, Gary Houghton; step daughter Linda and husband Wayne Jackson.

Marjorie was united in marriage to Everett Frady, Sr, on July 15, 1954, he preceded her in death on August 7, 1962. In 1978, she was united in marriage to Everett Hyde, who preceded her in death on September 7, 1994. Marjorie was united in marriage to Eldon Bausell on January 1, 1996, he preceded her in death on February 4, 2014.

Marjorie is survived by her son Everett Frady Jr, and wife Beverly; grandson Amos Frady and wife April; granddaughter Kelly Knipp and husband Jason; two step granddaughters, Mandy Magistro and husband B.J. and Danielle Eils and husband, Brandon. Six great grandchildren, Kataralynn, Eyan, and Brodey Knipp, Heidi Humig and husband Justus, and Ashten and Asa Frady; five step great grandchildren, Harper and Griffin Magistro and Isabella, Charlotte, and Brooks Eils; one great, great granddaughter, Millie Humig; two nephews; David and Richard Houghton.

Marjorie graduated from Lancaster School in 1948 and from Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in 1969. She taught at the Kirksville Christian High for 21 years, was a long time member of Church of God Holiness and taught Sunday school class for a number of years.

Marjorie loved cooking and cookbooks, sewing, and Christmas. She loved watching Everett and Amos chore, work in the fields and with cattle. You could find her driving her red Mule down the road or checking her mail. She also enjoyed a good game of checkers with the grandkids and winning!

Public visitation will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Church of God-Holiness in Kirksville, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow the service at Coatsville Cemetery in Coatsville, Missouri.

Memorial donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to the Church of God-Holiness and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
