Linda Kay (Taylor) Winkleman, 56, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home under Hospice of Northeast Missouri care.

The daughter of the late Lee Winchester and Lois Kay (Hickman) Taylor, she was born September 22, 1967 in Quincy, Illinois. On October 7, 1995 in Kirksville, Missouri, Taylor was united in marriage to Patrick Winkleman.

Taylor is survived by her husband Patrick of the home; one son, Zachary L. Winkleman of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Alexandra N. Winkleman of Springfield, MO; two brothers, David Taylor of Palmyra, MO, and Jack Taylor of Canton, MO.

Taylor was a graduate from Canton High School with the Class of 1986 and graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in 1991 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. While in college, she was a member of Alpha Sigma Gamma Sorority. After twenty-six years, Taylor retired from Wal-Mart in 2015. Taylor worked as a teachers aid/Para professional until 2020, and co-taught 4-H photography for ten years.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Taylor's wish was to be cremated and a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Ben Austic officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at East Center Cemetery in Kirksville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Taylor may be made to the I Think I Can Foundation in care of the Primary School, or to East Center Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
