Dewey Paul Potter, 52 of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at the University Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The son of the late Kenneth Dewey and Sarah Eldon (Eiler) Potter, he was born November 5, 1970 in Kirksville, Missouri. Dewey was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Michael Potter and Kenneth Marlin Potter; and one sister, Karma Potter.

Dewey is survived by three brothers, Marlin Potter, Jackie Potter and Jamie Potter all of Kirksville, MO; four sisters, Leta Stewart of Kirksville, MO, Shannon Dugan of Iowa, Janie Kay Shultz of Novinger, MO, and Marlas Potter of Texas; two nieces he was raised with, Johnna Drummond and April Thomas; several other nieces and nephews; as well as family members who took care of him, Jeff and Carolyn Wachter.

Dewey received his education in the Kirksville public schools. He worked in construction for a number of years, and enjoyed being a door dash deliverer.

Dewey was an accomplished Tattoo Artist, enjoyed rock hunting, fishing and being outdoors in the woods, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Dewey has been cremated and a memorial service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dewey may be made to his sister Janie Kay Shultz and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.

Dewey my brother I always think about the time we spent together though out the years and when you heard about what happened to me you instantly got worried about me and in the last 3 months of your life I seen a Dewey not many people ever seen you dropped your walls and let me love you and you loved me back so I will forever be great full for being able to see that side of you. I love you brother and miss you and think about you all the time 💔
