Lawrence Linhart, 77, of LaBelle, Missouri passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at the LaBelle Manor Care Center in LaBelle.

The son of the late Elba and Fay Oma (Straley) Linhart, he was born September 17, 1944 in Milan, Missouri. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Marion Lee, Delmas Virgil, Nelson Vernon, Melvin Dane, and Donald Wayne; two sisters, Mary Louise Riddle and Nancy Rose May; as well as his special lady friend, Jean Gollach.

On September 23, 1967, Lawrence was united in marriage to Patsy Stublinger in Lohman, MO. To this union two children were born.

Lawrence is survived by his children, son Robert and wife Billie Linhart of Brashear, MO, and daughter, Jaime Linhart of Des Moines, IA; two grandchildren, Andrew (Ashli) Linhart of Newark, MO, and Stephanie (Kerrek) Petersen of Des Moines, IA; four great-grandchildren, Lillian and Rhett Linhart and Amaya and Arrietty Petersen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lawrence served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and was a recorded expert marksman. After his military service, Lawrence worked mostly in northeast Missouri with final employment at MFA Agri Services in LaPlata from which he retired in 2014.

Public visitation in remembrance of Lawrence will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO, and as per his wishes, Lawrence will be cremated and his ashes will be inurned at a later date at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that hose wishing to remember Lawrence in a special way can make gifts in his memory to the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO, or to the Alzheimer's Association, and they may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O.
