Robert Eugene “Bob” Noe, 95, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, MO.

The son of the late Vernon Turner and Bonnie Ellen (Cox) Noe, he was born February 14, 1927, in Kirksville, Missouri. Bob was united in marriage to Bonnie Faye Mulcahy in Iowa and they were married for 66 years.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; a son, Dennis Lee Noe; two sisters, Betty Masten and Beverly "Susie" Brewer; and two brothers, Vernon Dale "Bud" Noe and William "Bill" Noe.

Bob is survived by two daughters, Dianne (Sam) Western and Dixie Baxley, all of Kirksville MO; grandchildren, Amber Warburton of Little Rock AR, Amy Stamper of Hot Springs AR, Gabe Baxley, and Galen (Kim) Baxley of Lee’s Summit MO; great-grandchildren, Dane and Case Warburton, Bailey Brake, and Everett and Everly Taylor Baxley; step-grandchildren, Kevin (Heather) Western, Kathy Costigan and Dan Western; sisters-in-law, Peggy Noe and Eva Jane Noe, both of Kirksville MO and Lorraine Mulcahy; brothers-in-law, Larry Mulcahy and Roger Mulcahy (Judy) all of Iowa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob served honorably in the United States Navy/Seabees during World War II, and was awarded the Victory Medal for his service in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. While serving as a Seabee, he operated heavy equipment.

After his military service, Bob farmed in central Iowa and northeast Missouri. He also operated heavy equipment for Kehrer Brothers Construction and Howard Construction companies. Beginning in 1975, Bob and Bonnie managed Noe Construction and Heavy Equipment in Kirksville for many years. Upon their retirement, they spent several winters in Yuma, Arizona.

It was Bob’s wish to be cremated and graveside with military honors will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville, MO.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Bob Noe may be made to the Local VFW # 2508 and left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
