Carmen Jeanean (Smith) Williams, 57, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Carmen was born January 14, 1965 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Leo Carl and Guyna Ruth (Green) Smith Jr. She is also preceded in death by a number of aunts and uncles. Carmen was formerly married to Dental Williams.

Carmen is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Sheila Smith of Kirksville, MO; one niece, Keely Smith; two honorary nieces, Haley and Kiley Phillips; two honorary great-nieces, Vera and Aurora; seven aunts, Anna (Glenn) Browning of Kirksville, MO, Wanda (Terry) Sevits of Greentop, MO, Carol Hiatt of Macon, MO; Pat Smith of Kirksville, MO, Serita Murphy of Hattiesburg, MS; Polly Green of LaPlata, MO, and Barbara Green of Kolona, IA; as well as special friends, Lyn and Danny Phillips, Nita Jeffries, Debbie and Bobby McCartney, Glenda Newell, and Janie and Dick Weber.

Carmen was a graduate of Kirksville High School with the Class of 1983. She was employed by several area businesses including Pamida, K-Mart, Motter's Tire & Auto, Florsheim Shoe Factory, Home Care Medical, for Dr. Todd, at First Choice Orthotics, Dollars General, and last for Aero Care.

Carmen will be remembered for being a very generous and giving person. She was a very devoted sister and aunt and loved spending time with her family and friends.

It was Carmen's wish to be cremated and a celebration of her life will take place with family receiving friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a service following in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Pastor Danny Harrelson will officiate the service.

Memorial donations in memory of Carmen may be left to her brother, Kelly Smith and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.

My sympathy to Carmen's family. I only knew her for a.short time through Areocare but such a pleasant lady. Always looked forward to seeing her there. She will be missed..RIP Carmen
