Danny Stewart, 65, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the University Missouri Medical Center in Columbia.

Born April 17, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri, Danny was the son of Andrew and Eliza Jean (Beall) Stewart. On September 26, 1987 in Davenport, Iowa, Danny was united in marriage to Denise Kay Collins.

Danny is survived by his wife Denise of the home; two sons, Danny Stewart of Kirksville, MO, and Darren Smith of Washington State; four daughters, Jennifer Magruder of Kirksville, MO, Shanon Stewart of Chillicothe, MO, Mary (Marc) Cameron of Davenport, IA, and Rebecca Penn of Kirksville, MO; two brothers, Terry (Marsha) Stewart, and Randy Stewart all of Kirksville, MO; four sisters, Andrea VanDyke of Kirksville, MO, Donna Steele of Novinger, MO, Mickey (Donnie) Watts of Milan, MO, and Prissy (Dave) Coy of Kirksville, MO; eighteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Stewart, and one sister, Joyce Stewart.

Danny was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1975. He was employed for Kraft Foods in Kirksville a number of years.

Danny enjoyed following the Cardinals and Chiefs. Because of his beard, Danny was often referred to as Santa Claus or Danny Claus by children and was known for giving them money. Danny was a member of the Kirksville Moose Lodge #1751 and attended First Liberty Full Gospel Church of Kirksville.

Danny has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will take place 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 with family receiving friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
