Donna Jolene (Sullivan) Combs Ellsworth, 73, of Novinger, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at her home under the care of Hospice Compassus.

Born November 9, 1948 in Novinger, Missouri, Donna was the daughter of the late Virgil and Reta Mae (Hall) Sullivan. On June 4, 1967, Donna was united in marriage to James B. Combs and to this union two children were born. James preceded her in death in 1992. She was also preceded in death by her step daughter-in-law, Lisa Ellsworth. On October 3, 2008 in Kirksville, Missouri, Jolene was united in marriage to Floyd Ellsworth.

Jolene is survived by her husband Floyd of the home; one daughter, Angie Combs and wife Mary Ward of Columbia, MO; one son, Roger Combs and wife Melissa of Kennett, MO; three step-children, Paul Ellsworth and wife Leann of Festus, MO, Preston Ellsworth of Sparta, MO, and Angela Warkocz and husband, Michael of Columbia, MO, as well as sixteen grandchildren.

Jolene was a graduate of Novinger High School with the Class of 1966. She worked thirty-seven years for Florsheim Shoe Company, worked seventeen years for Truman State University and last worked at Wal-Mart twenty-three years until retiring in 2019.

Donna Jolene loved cooking for her friends and family, enjoyed camping, and loved time spent with her family and grandchildren. She was a active and devoted member of Union Temple Church and will be sadly missed by all.

Public visitation will be held from noon to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2022 with a service following at 2:00. The service will be officiated by Pastor Alan Coonfield and interment will follow at Union Temple Cemetery, southwest of Novinger.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Combs, Roger Combs, Mike Warkocz, Todd Smith, Chris Coin, and Harold Harden. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Ellsworth and Preston Ellsworth.

Memorial donations in memory of Jolene may be made to the Union Temple Church and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
