Ronna Faith (McKim) Magruder

Ronna Faith (McKim) Magruder

-

Ronna Faith Magruder, 63, of Kirksville passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022. Ronna was born on February 21, 1958 to Ronald and E. Rosetta (Carman) McKim. She married Raymond Magruder on July 3,1976, in Kirksville.

Ronna is survived by her husband, Raymond; daughter Kristi Magruder (Kirksville, MO), son Matt Magruder (Springfield, MO), honorary daughter Erica Speiser (Kirksville, MO), and grandsons Rylan Speiser, Wyatt Speiser, Dayne Speiser, Ender Karigan and Legend Karigan. She is also survived by brothers Steve (Lorrie) McKim and Tom (Davena) McKim, and sisters Janie Hurley and Joni (Tad) Wilson, all of the Kirksville area, as well as many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Ronna was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Joy McKim Reesman, and her in-laws, E. Dwight and Helen Magruder.

Ronna’s life was a life of love and she had a huge heart in all things. She adored children and devoted much of her life to childcare, running an in-home daycare, Ronna’s Romper Room, for many years. Through this work and her church involvement she became “Aunt Ronna” to an entire generation of kids in Northeast Missouri. After retiring from home daycare, Ronna worked at ATSU as a standardized patient and was employed part time by the Community Action Partnership of Northeast Missouri at Pfeiffer Early Head Start. Anyone who met Ronna was touched by her kindness, loving nature, and selflessness: She never met a person in need that she would not help

In her free time, Ronna enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She also found great joy in Hallmark movies, learning more about homesteading, and raising her three pet chickens: Dorothy, Blanche and Rose. Prior to 2020, Ronna was highly involved with the Pantry for Adair County and she both volunteered her time there and served as a member of the Pantry board. Faith was a critical part of Ronna’s life and she was a long-time and very active member of Faith United Methodist Church in Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
