Cathy Ann (Ford) Kelly, 65, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the University Missouri Medical Center in Columbia.

Born June 19, 1956 in Kirksville, Missouri, Cathy was the daughter of the late William Donald and Anna Ellen (Murphy) Ford. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Ford. On June 13, 1981 in Kirksville, Missouri, Cathy was united in marriage to Charles Kelly.

Cathy is survived by her husband Charles of forty years; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Christopher and Leise Kelly and Cyle Curtis Kelly all of Kirksville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Christina Catelann "Catie" and Jacob Sweet of Kirksville, MO; five grandchildren, Chloe Faith Kelly, Conor Layne Kelly, Elijah Harold Sweet, Samuel Curtis Sweet and Lucas Alan Sweet, as well as sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and cousins.

Cathy was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1974 and received her master's degree in English from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. Cathy taught English in the Kirksville R-3 Public Schools.

Cathy enjoyed gardening, home making and would help anyone in need.

Cathy was a member of the Kirksville Moose Lodge and member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Kirksville.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Kirksville, with Monsignor Marion Makarewicz presiding. Family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass at the church, and cremation will follow Mass.

Pallbearers will be Charles Kelly, Chris Kelly, Jake Sweet, Pete Detweiler, Rick Buck, and Randy McKim Honorary pallbearers will be Cyle Kelly, Paul Kelly, Larry Sayre, Larry Hays, Tyson Bradshaw, and John Sanders.

Monetary donations in memory of Cathy may be made to Kirksville R-3 School and will be set up in a scholarship fund in her name. They may be left at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church on the day of the service or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.

Cathy was a big part of my life for a lot of years and 51 years later we could still chat without missing a beat. Thanks for the memories.
