George Walter Creason, 74, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

Born April 2, 1947 in Kirksville, Missouri, George was the son of the late Glen Walter and Mary Frances (Klingsmith) Creason. On August 4, 1966 in Kirksville, Missouri, George was united in marriage to Emmalea Pipes.

George is survived by his wife Emmalea of fifty-six years; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joie and Tammy Creason and Stacie and Nicki Creason all of Kirksville, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Georgie and Leo Parizo of Kirksville, MO; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lynn and Cathy Creason and Terry and Terri Ann Creason all of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Glenda Johnson of Green City, MO; five grandchildren, Christopher Parizo, Shelbie (Ryan) Erwin, Miranda Creason, Cody Creason, and Kayla Creason; two great-grandchildren, Charlie Erwin and Mackenize Erwin, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

George was a graduate from Kirksville High School. He drove a truck most of his life and also drove a school bus for Weber Bus Company in Kirksville.

George enjoyed raising cattle, fishing, shooting black powder and going for side by side rides, but most of all he loved time spent with his family.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 1, 2021 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating. Interment will follow the service at Refuge Cemetery, northeast of Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Creason, Terri Creason, Danny Creason, Kayla Creason, Christopher Parizo, Kevin Pipes, Chris Custer, Ryan Erwin, and Earl Kull.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of George may be made to Refuge Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
