Linda Lou (Skillman) Strabley, 77, of LaPlata, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her home under Hospice care.

Born January 22, 1944 in Canton, Illinois, Linda was the daughter of the late Enos Wilbur and Merle Alice (Gibbens) Skillman. On November 23, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, Linda was united in marriage to Keith Dale Strabley who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jackie Skillman, Robert Skillman, William Skillman, Eugene "Gene" Reneau, Shirley Gizinski, Marjorie Skillman, and Audrey Huffman, as well as one niece, Barbara Wever..

Linda is survived by three daughters, Tracy Strabley of LaPlata, MO, Kari Finch of OH, and Niki Kryaninko of MD; two brothers, Alan Skillman of Des Moines, IA, and Jerry Skillman of Iowa City, IA; and two sisters, Barbara Ann Carrol and Bonnie Wever; two brothers, Alan Skillman, and Gerald Skillman; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Linda received her education, graduated from high school and attending college in Illinois. She worked a number of years as a certified nurses aide at Willow Manor in Deming, New Mexico until her retirement. She has resided in LaPlata since 1962. Linda loved to read, work crossword puzzles and watch game shows.

She was a member of Kirksville Moose Lodge and of the American Legion.

Linda has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Aquatic Center in Kirksville. Arrangements were taken care of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
