Neva Jeanne (Reese) King, 90, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Kirksville Manor Care Center.

Born April 23, 1931 in Novinger, Missouri, Neva was the daughter of the late Archie Ivan and Catherine Louise (Novinger) Reese. On September 10, 1950 in Kirksville, Missouri, Neva was united in marriage to Darwin Lee Parsons who preceded her in death on February 27, 1959. On June 23, 1973, in Green City, Missouri, Neva married John Jackson who preceded her in death. She later married Fred King who also preceded Neva in death. Neva was also preceded in death by one sister, Treva Tucker and one niece, Toni Tucker.

Neva is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Denny Cunningham of Kirksville, MO; one son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Patty Parsons of Blue Springs, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Linda Reese of Novinger, MO; two grandchildren, Angie Danielson and husband Ron, and Isaiah Parsons and wife Lisa; four great-grandchildren, Audrey, Isaac, Eva, and Eli Danielson; five step-grandchildren, Matthew Gore, Ben Gore, Nathan Gore, Brian Wilson, and Heather Murphy; twelve step-great grandchildren as well as eight nieces and nephews.

Neva was a graduate from Novinger High School and began her career as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell until going to the business office. In 1982, Neva moved with the phone company to St. Joseph, Missouri and later to Columbia, Missouri, where she was employed until retiring. After retiring, Neva began working in the Assessor's Office at the Adair County Court House and was there until retiring.

She enjoyed decorating, antiques, collecting quilts, shopping, and cooking. Neva loved time spent with her family and adored her grandchildren.

Neva was a member of the Pioneer Club with AT&T and also a member of the Connelsville Church.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow the service at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger.

Pallbearers will be Isaiah Parsons, Ron Danielson, Isaac Danielson, Tim Tucker, Wade Reese, and Mark Grgurich.
