Rosetta Lea (Major) Gingerich, 87, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Rosetta was born on June 28, 1934 in Novinger, Missouri, the daughter of Kenneth Theodore and Mary Florence (Dailing) Major. On December 3, 1975 in Quincy, Illinois, Rosetta was united in marriage to Richard Gingerich who preceded her in death on January 3, 2018. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Beverly Smithers, Patricia Geosling, and Marilyn Maw.

Rosetta is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Scott Johns of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Tyson Johns of Springfield, MO, and Jourdain Deldin and husband Austin of Naples, FL as well as nieces and nephews.

Rosetta was a graduate from Kirksville Senior High School. She was the office manager for Grossnickle Insurance Company in Kirksville, for many years until retiring.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville, with Pastor Raymond Magruder officiating. Family will receive friends before the graveside service.
