Anita Suzanne (Klatt) Woehlk, 72, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Columbia, Missouri. She was bornon March 19, 1949 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Roger and Gertrude Klatt.

When she was eight, her family relocated to Colorado where she graduated high school. Anita received bachelor and master’s degrees from Colorado State University. She relocated to Kirksville, Missouri where her three children were born. Anita loved animals, especially horses and cats, and loved to play games. She was very generous in life, often giving what little she had to others. Anita loved her family and will be missed.

She was active in the Catholic and later Episcopal Church.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dulcy, and infant brother Ralph.

Anita is survived by daughter Erika Woehlk of Jefferson City, daughter Julia (Robert) Draper of Columbia and their four children Lilian, Zoe, Anthony and Quinn, son Brian Woehlk of Kirksville, one brother Randy (Karen) Klatt of Maine and their sons Robert and Richard.

A graveside service will be held at Mary Immaculate (Highland Park) Cemetery in Kirksville on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor David Cox presiding.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Columbia, MO Second Chance Animal Shelter that may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO.

One of Anita's greatest accomplishments, as far as I am concerned, besides raising 3 wonderful children, adults now, is that she invited me to the Catholic Church where I found the place I truly belong personally, and am still there 33 years later. Thank you, Anita, for that nudge. May you rest in peace.
