Paul James Hudnall, 88, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of the late Ola Glen and Allie Mae (Person) Hudnall, he was born June 15, 1932 in Milan, Missouri. On January 13, 1952 in Milan, Missouri, Paul was united in marriage to Clara Clay.

Paul is survived by his wife Clara of sixty-nine years; one son, James Hudnall (Mary Jo) of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Jerry Hudnall of Springfield, MO, two sisters, Charlotte McLearn and Glenda Magney both of Milan, MO; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Gunnels of Gifford, MO, Trinity (Ashley) Howard of Jefferson City, MO, and James Paul Edward Hudnall of Oakland, IA; eight great-grandchildren, Derrick Gunnels, Trimrick Gunnels, Cheyenne Parrish (Ethan), Autumn Parrish (Kyle), Remington Homer, Christopher Hudnall, Eli Hudnall, and Sofia Hudnall, four great-great grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Glen Edward Hudnall.

Paul was a lifelong resident of Sullivan and Adair counties and received his education in the Pollock rural school. He worked a number of years for McGraw Edison and drove a truck for Preston Truck Line and was awarded the Million Mile Club. Paul retired from trucking in 1994.

Paul enjoyed golfing and hunting, but most of all loved time spent with his family and grandchildren.

He was a life member of V.F.W., was a member of the Kirksville Moose Lodge where he was named Moose International of the year and in his younger years was a member of a C.B. Club where he was elected the first President of the citizen band club in the 60's.

Public visitation will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 from noon to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Pat Daily, Yancy Stover, James-Paul Hudnall, Mike Gunnels, Ashley Howard and Rick White. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Cooper, Larson Eitel, and Frank Eskra.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
