Jay Oliver Coffman, known to family and friends as J.O., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2021. J.O. was a resident of Kirksville, Missouri after spending most of his life in Callao, Missouri. He was 73 years old.

J.O. was the youngest son of Raymond Corbet and Martha Pearl (Eaton) Coffman. He was born January 28, 1948 in Macon, Missouri. J.O. is survived by three sisters-n-law Cayrol J. Coffman of Macon, MO, Carol (Cookie) L. Middaugh of Callao, MO, Carolyn I. Coffman of Kirksville, MO and an Uncle, Stanley Eaton and wife Janet of Macon, MO. Also survived are many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

J.O. was preceeded in death by his parents, Raymond and Martha Coffman, his siblings, Jo Lynn Coffman, who died in infancy, Nellita Pillers, Wilford L Coffman, Clifford R. Coffman, G. Dean Coffman, and Adrain L. Coffman.

J.O. graduated from Kirkville Public School in 1965. He enjoyed many years of work at the Kirksville Sheltered Workshop. He loved fishing, listening to gospel music, and attending church. J.O. was a member of the Church of God (Holiness) where he was honored for 35 years of perfect attendance to Sunday School. He recently attended the Fellowship Baptist Church in Kirksville. He had many friends and enjoyed attending both churches.

A Memorial service will be held Friday. April 2, 11:00AM at the Travis Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM.

Memorials may be made to Kirksville Church of God (Holiness), Fellowship Baptist Church, or Hospice of Northeast Missouri and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
