Lawrence Earl "Larry" Lowe Jr., 78, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville, after a two year battle with cancer.

Born February 26, 1943 in Kirksville, Missouri, Larry was the son of the late Lawrence Earl and Betty Jane (Huff) Lowe. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Ellen Suzanne (Lowe) Riley in 2014.
On May 1, 1964 in Greentop, Missouri, Larry was united in marriage to Carol Ann Farmer.

Larry is survived by his wife Carol of fifty-seven years; two sons and a daughter-in-law Christopher and Cari Lowe of Glendale, MO, and Michael Lowe of Kansas City, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Laurie Ann and Gail Sullivan of Quincy, IL; one brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Mary Lowe of Green Castle, MO; one sister, Ruby Alice Search of Gibsonton, FL; nine grandchildren, Rochelle Lowe, Matthew Lowe, Shelby Davis, Sondra Wilson, Grant Sullivan, Lauren Lowe, Abigail Lowe, Tana Lowe, and Madison Lowe; four step-grandchildren, Jonathan Riley, Bobbi Riley, Dominique Louthan, and Alli Kelsey; ten great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Larry was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1961. He was employed for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDot) for thirty-five years. Larry then opened his own business, Lowe's Lock Shop working twenty years before retiring in 2019.

Larry was a member of the Bethel Community Church of Kirksville, MO.

Public visitation will be held Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home, with Pastor Marvin Cross officiating. Music selections will be provided by Mary Goodman and Lyndsey Blake. Interment will follow the service at Fort Madison Cemetery, northeast of Kirksville.
