Marjorie A. (Daniels) Smoyer, 94, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born January 14, 1927 in Kirksville, Missouri, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Byrd and Jessie L. (Compton) Daniels. On December 28, 1945 in Troy, Kansas, Marjorie was united in marriage to Harry Smoyer who preceded her in death on September 20, 2014. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Larry Dale Smoyer and Michael Smoyer in infancy; five brothers, Duane (Garnet) Daniels, Dale (Eleanor) Daniels, Jack (Betina) Daniels, Dean (Dorene) Daniels, Norman (Shirley) Daniels; and two sisters, Geneva (Gene) Ensign and Donna (Roscoe) Wright.

Marjorie is survived by one son, Steven Douglas Smoyer of Parkville, MO; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Sue and Robert Christman, Pamela Jo (Mike) Franke of Novelty, MO, and Kathy (Joe) Biggerstaff of Bella Vista, AR; her daughter-in-law, Sherry Smoyer of Kirksville, MO; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson.

Marjorie was a life long resident of Kirksville and was a graduate of Kirksville High School. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, camping, music, dancing, and cooking for family and others.

Marjorie will be remembered as a loving, caring, and giving mother, grandmother and friend.

Marjorie was a member of Kirksville Moose Lodge #1751 and attended Faith United Methodist Church of Kirksville.

Marjorie has been cremated and public graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Franke officiating.
