Patricia "Joan" (Pearce) Ellsworth, 66, of Novinger, Missouri, was welcomed into Heaven Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her home.

The daughter of Thomas A. and Edith L. (Truitt) Pearce, Joan was born June 8, 1955 in Kirksville, MO.
Joan is survived by special friend Earl Kull of Novinger; one son, Bradley Apodaca (Jamie Copeland) of St. Joseph, Missouri; four daughters, Miranda Salsberry (Tracy) of Novinger, Desirae Person of Colorado, Amber Weston (Jacob) of Wyoming, and Samantha MacAtee of Kirksville; two step-sons, Trent Kull (Sabrina) of El Paso, Texas, and Troy Kull (Kate) of Mound City, Missouri; two sisters, Judy Filkins (Claude) of Kirksville, and Janice Pearce (Mike Schmitter) of Novinger; ten grandchildren; Cymber Coin, Ceiren and Cienna Eads, Zeke Person, David and Gaby Weston, Koan, Jadis and Jensen MacAtee, and Gavin Apodaca; five step-grandchildren, Anthony, Brie, Ethan, and Christoper Kull and Elena Bonea; three great grandchildren, Declan, Daxtyn, and Daegyn Coin; nephews, Matt and Ben Filkins, Scott and Lane Van Luvan, and niece Brandy Shively, great niece Alexia Shively; great nephews, Carter Shively, Kholton, Steven and Thomas Van Luvan, and Zac Deschamps; one great great nephew, Elijah Deschamps; as well as numerous cousins and two aunts.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Joan received her education in the Novinger public schools and graduated with the class of 1973. After high school, she lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a number of years before returning to Missouri. Joan was employed as a hostess for La Fuente and Mi Casa restaurants taking care of her many wonderful customers over the last several years. She was presently working for Weber Bus Incorporated.

Joan was very much a family person. She enjoyed auctions, needle work, a mean game of cards, sitting by the fire roasting wieners telling tales, collecting anything Mickey Mouse, and attending the balloon festival in Albuquerque, NM. Joan was a member of West Chariton Fellowship Church in Novinger and Odd Fellows Lodge.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the West Chariton Fellowship church in Novinger, with Pastor Jeff Dodson presiding.

The family will receive friends for one hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joan's son, Bradley Apodaca. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
