Wanda Mae (Lene) Rogers, 85, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the LaPlata Nursing Home in LaPlata, Missouri.

The daughter of the late John Leon and Ethel Fostor (Sweikert) Lene, she was born April 25, 1935 in Elmer, Missouri. Wanda was united in marriage to Donald Lee Rogers in Ottumwa, Iowa on December 22, 1953 and he preceded her in death on August 13, 2006.

Wanda is survived by one son Mark Rogers of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Linda Rogers and her significant other, Frederick Bailey of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Weldon Lene of LaPlata, MO; and her special friend, Herman Truitt of Kirksville, MO.

Wanda was a graduate from LaPlata High School. She resided most of her life in Kirksville, where she did house cleaning and baby sitting for many years.

Wanda enjoyed music, playing cards, traveling, and church activities. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and loved time spent with her group of friends. She was also a member of Hamilton Street Baptist Church of Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Interment will follow the service at Elmer Cemetery in Elmer, Missouri.

Public visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from noon to 2:00 p.m. service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Wanda may be made to the LaPlata Nursing Home and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
