Debra Jan (Bunch) Gordy, 62, of Kirksville, Misosuri, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the University Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The daughter of Billy Dee and Janet Ruth (Harker) Bunch, she was born September 23, 1957 in Kirksville, Missouri. On February 14, 1981 in Kirksville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Veldon Gordy.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Veldon of thirty-nine years; her father, Billy Dee Bunch of Kirksville, MO; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy Don and Lacey Gordy of Kirksville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Dana and Vernon Gordy of Kirksville, MO; three grandchildren, Madison, Lane and Adalyn Gordy all of Kirksville, MO; two uncles; three aunts; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother, Janet Bunch on January 31, 2019.

Debbie was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1977. She was employed in nursing care at Old Laughlin Hospital and later for New Laughlin Hospital for a number of years. Debbie then worked in private nursing care.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2020 at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville with Pastor Larry Gibson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Zane Valentine, Wayne Nolting, Lane Gordy, Randy Shaver, Tommy Attebery, and Ray Graham.

Arrangements were taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
