Richard Edward Beaty, 83, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at The Pines in Kirksville.

The son of Walter S. and Anna Eloise (Taylor) Beaty, he was born January 23, 1937 in French Lick, Indiana. On December 24, 1958 in Kirksville, Missouri, Richard was united in marriage to Genevee C. Rowland who preceded him in death on November 25, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Beaty in 1959; one grandson, Dustin Watt; two great-grandchildren, Braden and Taylor Barrett; and five brothers, Raymond, Nick, George, Perry, and Morris.

Richard is survived by one son Robert Beaty of Greentop, MO; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Doug Watt of Queen City, MO; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and David Stewart of French Lick, IN; four grandchildren, Mandy Barrett, Abbie Crawford, Bill Watt, and Kara Trucke; fifteen great-grandchildren, as well as several very special nieces and nephews.

Richard received his education in the French Lick public schools. He served his country in the United States Air Force. In 1958, Richard and Genevee moved to Greentop, Missouri to make their home and Richard was employed for several appliance companies including, Wright's, King's, and Nelson's until retiring in 2011. He also enjoyed working on clocks, kids toys, hunting, fishing, and working in his yard. Richard loved wildlife and feeding his squirrels.

Richard was devoted to his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play.

Richard was a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Greentop, Missouri.

Private family services will take place on Thursday, December 10, 2020 under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home with interment with military honors to be held at Lone Pine Cemetery in Martinstown.
