Gerald William Hill, 87, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Garrett William and Minnie Edna (Havens) Hill, he was born January 5, 1933 in Bloomfield, Iowa. On February 14, 1953 in Bloomfield, Iowa, Gerald was united in marriage to Elaine Bowling.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Elaine of sixty-seven years; one son, Gary Hill; two daughters, Teresa "Terri" Banki and Jana Nylund; one sister, Verta Small; six grandchildren, Lynn Childress, William Sorensen, Garrett Vaul, Ashley Vaul, Rebekah Hill and Morgan Hill, as well as six great-grandchildren, Cole Childress, Hazel Childress, Maddison Sorensen, Kaylynn Sorensen, Mya Sorensen, and Hailey Sorensen.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents. one daughter, Sherry Sorensen, one grandson, Daniel Sorensen, and one brother, LaVerne Hill.

Gerald proudly served his Country in the United States Army. Gerald was an executive for Ford Motor Company for twenty-two years.

It was Gerald's wish to be cremated and no service will be held. Arrangement will be taken care of by Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
