Robye Sue Spalding, 90 of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday, (December 28th, 2020) at Kirksville Manor Care in Kirksville.

The daughter of Benjamin and Lala (Ray) Riley, she was born February 22, 1930 in Farmington, Kentucky. On November 22, 1950, Robye was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gene Spalding who preceded her in death on August 23, 2014. She was also preceded in death by 4 older brothers, 1 older sister, Son-in-Law Tom Moore, and Great granddaughter, Shanna Gottlieb.

Robye is survived by Son Mike (& Marcia) Spalding of Indianapolis, IN, Daughter Jan Moore (& Steve Pickett) of Scottsdale, AZ, Son Jim (& Debbie) Spalding of Kirksville and Daughter Anna (& Jon) Broyles also of Kirksville. 10 Grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Robye was a well known businesswoman in Kirksville. She was the owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio in Kirksville until the time of her retirement. She was also an amazing seamstress and loved making quilts. She was a 30+ year survivor of breast cancer. She cared about everyone she met and loved to hear their story. When you were friends with Robye, you were a friend for life! She deeply loved her family, especially the grandkids and great grandkids. She was so proud of them all and would show them off when they came to visit at Manor Care.
It was Robye’s wish to be cremated.

Family will receive friends for a Celebration of Robie's Life on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.
