Lois Ann (O’Bannon) Jones, 86, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020.

The daughter of Hugh and Vivian O’Bannon, she was born February 24, 1934 in Stanberry, Missouri. She was united in marriage to William D. Jones of Kirksville, Missouri, on June 27, 1954 in Stanberry, Missouri and he preceded her in death on October 20, 2004. Lois was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Brady O’Bannon and Dean O’Bannon.

Lois is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gerard Winterbottom of Glen Carbon, Illinois; a son, Clifford D. Jones of Cairo, Missouri; six grandsons: Brandon Jones (Kayla) of Columbia, MO; Jason Winterbottom (Lisa) of Zionsville, IN; Matthew Winterbottom (Tara) of Creve Coeur, MO; Jared Jones (Lexie) of Clarence, MO; Kyle Jones (Baylee) of Jefferson City, MO and Lucas Jones of Cairo, MO; seven great grandchildren, two sisters Delila Paulus of Renton, WA and Shirley Simon of St. Joseph, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois was raised in the Stanberry, Missouri area. She moved to Scio, Oregon in 1951. She graduated high school from Scio Union High School in 1952. After marrying William D. Jones, they moved to the Kirksville area. She worked for Kirksville RIII School District before retiring in 2013. Her true enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 19, 2020 at the Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville.
