Surviving him are a cousin, Marilyn Miller and many other loving cousins in several states; two nephews, Steve and Mark Perry and families, two great nieces Julie and Jennifer and families, and several close friends whom he considered family.

He grew up on a farm in the Sabbath Home Community, and attended 1st through 4th grade at the Mt. Zion rural school. Upon that closing , he went on to complete his education in Brashear, graduating in 1968. C.A. was a member of the Fairview 4-H Club and especially enjoyed showing rabbits at the fair in Kirksville. Along with his parents, C.A. rode with the Kirksville Trailriders as they appeared in parades in the area. C.A. was my good neighbor and former coworker at the old Hy-Vee on the southside here in Kirksville. He wore an ever-present smile and people were attracted to his great sense of humor!! He was a great story teller and had a keen memory on the smallest of details. :) Although his health declined these last few years, C.A. chose to see the positive in things and never missed an opportunity to say "hello" from across the street!! Goodbye FRIEND!!
