William Martin "Bill" Pickett, 80, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 in Kirksville under the care of Hospice.

The son of Harold Hadley and Mildred N. (Cooley) Pickett, he was born August 11, 1940 in Green Castle, Missouri. On November 2, 1963 in Novinger, Missouri, Bill was united in marriage to Patricia McCarty.

Bill is survived by his wife Pat of fifty-six years; two sons, Harold Martin (Addie) Pickett of Unionville, MO, and Justin Pickett of Kirksville, MO; one brother, Jack (Linda) Pickett of Novinger, MO; one sister, Judy Miller of Kirksville, MO; two grandchildren, Eric and Derik Pickett both of St. Louis, MO; and two great-grandchildren, Pasiley and Caden Pickett both of St. Louis, MO, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jr. Pickett and one sister, Shirley Hayes.

Bill was a graduate from Novinger High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. From 1969 to 1989, Bill was a contractor for Cable TV. He later worked as a mechanic and retired from P.S.F. Feed Mill in Milan, Missouri. After his retirement Bill enjoyed operating a motor grader, fishing, medal detecting, and panning for gold.

Graveside services with military honors will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Novinger Cemetery in Novinger.

No public visitation will be held and arrangements will be under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
