Lowell Max "Buster" Briggs, 79, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Lesco Earl and Alberta Mabel (Decker) Briggs, he was born March 24, 1940 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Buster is survived by two brothers: Joe and Bill Briggs of Kirksville, MO, Two sisters: Ruby Vincent and Cathy Cunningham of Kirksville, MO, one sister-in-law: Gene Briggs and several nieces and nephews.

Buster was preceded in death by his parents, as sister, Nadine, Two brothers, Larry "Wally" and Jimmie Briggs, two brothers-in-law: Forrest Vincent and Mike Cunningham and one sister-in-law: Bernice Briggs.

Buster received his education in the Kirksville public schools and served in the Army. He was employed for over forty years as a mechanic for Morris Oil Company.

Buster's greatest joy was his family and friends.

Buster has been cremated and no public visitation or funeral service will be held. Interment will be at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.
