Elaine Carol (Gillespie) Spring, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Moberly Regional Medical in Moberly.

Elaine was born July 4, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Kenneth Harvey and Amelia (Gonzalez) Gillespie. She grew up both in Kirksville, MO, and Chicago, IL. Elaine was the wife of the late James Spring veteran of the U.S. Army. She was also preceded in death by her mother Amelia.

Elaine is survived by her father, Kenneth Gillespie of Kirksville, MO; two sisters, Cathyrn Gillespie of Sterling, IL, and Yvonne Ross and husband Charles of Moberly, MO, her companion, Billy Tingley of Salisbury, MO, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Elaine was a graduate from Richards High School in Chicago, Illinois. She worked many years as a supervisor for Seguin of greater Chicago with the disabled.

Elaine loved to travel and went to Europe with her husband when he was stationed in Germany and the Netherlands. She enjoyed cooking and singing and loved her family and friends deeply. Elaine will be greatly missed by all including her little dog Chiquita.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Downing Cemetery in Downing, MO.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2019 from noon to service time at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Woods, Leonard Nicoley, Don Heller, David Gillespie, Kenny Kirkham and Ron Fisher.
