Virginia Elizabeth "Bea" (Knight) Hamilton, 76, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 20, 1942 in Unionville, Missouri, Bea was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Martha Ruth (Martin) Knight. On December 8, 1960 in Unionville, Missouri Bea was united in marriage to James E. Hamilton.

Bea is survived by her husband Jim of fifty-eight years; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Peggy Hamilton of Unionville, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Danny Pattermann and Jana and Mark Munn all of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Kindall Pattermann, Jaidan Pattermann, Blake Munn, Lora Buckallew, Jackie Hamilton, and Ashley Patterson, as well as six great-grandchildren.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and Tony Knight, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Lucille Hamilton.

Bea was a graduate from Livonia High School with the Class of 1960. She worked her entire life as a cook for the Adair County Detention Center, Kirksville Day Care and for Ray Miller and at one time was employed for Vic Cleaners several years.

Bea enjoyed being at home watching old movies, but most of all she loved having her family together.

Bea was a member of the Kirksville Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Brother Barry Poyner officiating and Dan Green assisting. Interment will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Blake Munn, Jackie Hamilton, Jeremy Buckallew, Jeff Knight, Mark Munn and Danny Pattermann. Honorary pallbearers will be Basil Walker, John Ratliff, Jim Posey, Stan East, Darl Hamilton, Kyle Patterson, and Mike Higgins.
