Henry Joseph Burns, 10 month old son of Nathaniel Aaron and Elisabeth Ann (Bishop) Burns passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Women's & Children's Hospital in Columbia.

Henry is survived by his mother Elisabeth Burns of Macon, MO; his grandparents, Daniel and JoEllen Burns of Appache Junction, AZ and Timothy and Teresa Bishop of Ypsilanti, MI; three brothers, Guy, Rufus, and Timothy Burns all of Macon, MO; four sisters, Alexandra, Charis, Sophia, and Zoe Burns all of Macon, MO, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Henry was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Burns on January 6, 2019.

Henry had a unique love for everyone! He especially loved faces and close around him. Henry's siblings remember that he had Down Syndrome. He would smile at them when they smiled at him. His family and friends loved him greatly. Henry often clasped his hands in front of him as though he were praying! Henry touched everyone he met and will always be remembered. He was a precious gift from the LORD!

Public visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Southside Baptist Church in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at Southside Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron Rodgerson officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.

Pallbearers will be his grandfathers, Daniel Burns and Timothy Bishop. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, Guy Burns, Rufus Burns, and Timothy Burns.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Henry may be made to WCH NICU of Columbia, MO and may be left at the church or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.

It was a pleasure and honor to get to take care of Henry. He always was able to put a smile on my face. I'm so sorry for your loss. Women's and Children's will very much miss seeing his smiling face around the halls.
