Janet Ruth (Harker) Bunch, 80, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at her home under Hospice care and family by her side.

Born January 2, 1939 in Memphis, Missouri, Janet was the daughter of James Harold and Bonnie Lee (Perry) Harker. On January 5, 1957 in Kirksville, Missouri, Janet was united in marriage to Billy Dee Bunch.

Janet is survived by her husband, Billy of sixty-two years; her mother, Bonnie Harker of Kirksville, MO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Veldon Gordy and Dana and Vernon Gordy all of Kirksville, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Peggy Harker of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Carole Thie of Kirksville, MO; one brother-in-law, Jerry Bunch and wife Sharon of Kirksville, MO; one grandson, Billy (Lacey) Gordy of Kirksville, MO; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Adalyn and Lane, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her father James Harold Harker in August of 1984.

Janet was a graduate from Queen City High School with the Class of 1956. She was employed at Lambert Glove Factory until going to work for Florsheim Shoe Factory where she was employed thirty-five years. In 1971, Janet and her husband Billy begin the Bunch Taxi Company, later D&D Cab in Kirksville. Janet was a hard worker, never met a stranger, was a very giving person, and loved following the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball games.

Public visitation will be held from noon to 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, 2019 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Graveside services will follow visitation on Monday at 2:00 p.m., February 4, 2019 at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kiriksville.

Pallbearers will be Billy Gordy, Lane Gordy, Randy Shaver, Wayne Nolting, Tommy Attebery, and Rick Veach.
