Christie Lynn Waybill-Manning 46, died January 26, 2019 in her home in Lee’s Summit, MO. Christie Lynn Waybill-Manning was the daughter of Bonnie and Ronnie Cuculich of Novinger, MO and Donnie and Janet Waybill of Green Castle, MO. Christie was born April 2, 1973 in Kirksville, MO. She graduated from Kirksville R-III School in 1991. Christie was a member of the East Center Community Church. At an early age Christie was determined to be unique and wished to venture her dreams and stand out in the world. Christie dreamed of being an Interior Designer so that she could share her passion for art to the world. Christie attended The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale from 1991-1993. Christie worked as an Interior Designer for Custom Drapery Companies in Ft. Lauderdale until she relocated to the Kansas City area in 1998. Christie also worked as a Florist in the Kansas City metro area for local vendors, sharing her love for being creative. Christie participated in party planning and freelance interior decorating for several gala events in the Kansas City area. She currently was a custom drapery designer at M&M Draperies in Kansas City, MO. Christie was also developing her own company, Seamstress Extraordinaire in Lee’s Summit, MO.
She was united in marriage to Gregg Allen Manning on March 6, 2010. This union blessed her with one child Bod’e Kinsler Morgan Manning on September 17, 2010. Bod’e was the shining star in her life and she thrived to make his every dream come true. Christie was an outstanding mother and Bod’e adores her for this.
Christie was an active member of Life At It’s Best and worked with individuals with disabilities. Her creativity and caring smile brought joy to many. She volunteered with Church organizations in feeding the less fortunate wherever assistance was needed. As a result of her generous spirit and large ability to dream beyond the boundaries, she was loved and respected by many.
Christie’s beautiful life will be cherished through the life of Bod’e, family and friends. Christie would say (Romans 12:2) Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Christie is survived by her son Bode of the home; parents Bonnie and Ronnie Cuculich, Donnie and Janet Waybill, her brother and sister-in-law Shuan and Becky Klingsmith, step sister Carrie Campbell and Emily Cuculich, Aunt Barbara Neis, Uncle Rex Cusick, Nieces Jenna Klingsmith, Ashley and Adam Read, Whitney Marrs and Paige Marrs, and Nephew Justin Klingsmith; Cousins Tracie and Tim Bond, Thad Daniels, Ashley and Adam Collins, Christie and Blake Burford, Brett Burford, Brock Burford, Blaine Daniels, Travis Daniels, Bailee Burford, Brylee Burford, Hadley Burford, Daxton Burford, Bradon Sifrit and Harrison Collins. Christie also loved and adored her extended family, Kathy and Clift Manning and Austin Manning.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor John Davison officiating. Interment will follow the service at East Center Cemetery, east of Kirksville.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 31, 2019 for one hour before service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Shaun Klingsmith, Thad Daniels, Blake Burford, Brett Burford, Brock Burford, Brian Durham, and Austin Manning.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shaun Klingsmith for further education of Christi's son Bode and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
