Judy Kaye Bruegenhemke, 70, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Judy was born June 22, 1948 the daughter of Maxine Lucille Collins. On June 28, 1985 in Lancaster, Missouri, Judy was united in marriage to Mark Bruegenhemke.

Judy is survived by her husband Mark of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott Simpson of Virginia Beach, VA, and Shawn and Hilarie Simpson of Edmond, OK; three grandchildren, Connor, Anderson, and Spencer Simpson; two sisters-in-law, Lisa Morrow of Baring, MO, and Kathleen Bruegenhemke of Columbia, MO; two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her mother; brothers-in-law Brian Bruegenhemke and Terry Morrow; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Alice Bruegenhemke.

Judy was a graduate from Novinger R-I High School with the Class of 1966. In 1968, Judy went to work for Hollister Inc. in Kirksville where she was employed for almost forty years.

Judy enjoyed shopping, flowers, decorating her home and lawn, taking rides in her Jeep Wrangler on Sunday afternoons, but most of all loved her family and time spent with her grandchildren.

Public visitation will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow the service at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Baring, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Craig Mayer, Drew Bruegenhemke, Mike Collop, Larry Howard, Nathan Selby, and Doug Meline.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Judy Bruegenhemke may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.

Dearest Judy,
My heart is saddened because of you leaving this earth but all the beauty, joy, love and bright spots you planted will continue on. Thank you for being the best Gram ever. Scott and I will ensure that Connor will continue to make you proud.
