It is with great sadness that the family of Peggy Lavonne (Moddrell) Spencer announces her passing, on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the age of 74.

Peggy was born November 8, 1943 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Lavern and Betty June (Hennon) Moddrell. Peggy was also preceded in death by her husband Doug Spencer and her grandson Aaron Bell.

Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her 3 children, Twila, Tess Bell (Dale), and Danny Spencer (Laura). Peggy will be fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, Jamie Jackson, Jeremy Jones (Amy), Stephanie Wilson (Daniel), Tanner McClanahan (Jessica), Amanda Bell, Vanessa Bell, Tara Bell (Todd), Dakota Bell, Derek Conley, Amber Spencer in addition to 21 great grandchildren and her brother Jim Moddrell (Janita).

Peggy was a Green City, MO native but lived out most of her years in Kirksville, MO with her husband and children. She enjoyed her positions at Easters and Casey's where she could bake for others and at Spencer's Plumbing where she worked along side her husband at their business. The thing she enjoyed most was being surrounded by her family and camping with them, as long as she had air conditioning, or going to yard sales on Saturday mornings. She extended that family bond to her friends which she seen weekly at BINGO in Novinger and the VFW in Kirksville.

Public visitation will be held at Travis Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville MO on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 6pm-8pm.

A funeral service to celebrate Peggy's life will be at Travis-Noe Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2pm, with interment following at Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville.
