Merta Fay (Davis) Malloy, 84, of Bucklin, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Kirksville, Missouri.

The daughter of John and Grace (Johnson) Davis, Merta was born December 5, 1933 in Ethel, Missouri. On November 6, 1953, Merta was united in marriage to Clyde Davis who preceded her in death on March 1, 1982. On November 16, 1986 in Bucklin, Missouri, Merta married Earl Malloy who preceded her in death on November 7, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Daryl and Mike Davis; one grandson, Jason Davis; one brother, J.R. Davis; and three sisters, Mellie Pellegrina, Irene Ratliff, and Elnora Burnett.

Merta is survived by three sisters, Gracie Thompson of Wright City, MO, Dellie Thompson of Carmichael, CA, and Denie Bailey of Crabtree, OR; two grandsons, Jeremy Davis and Tim Davis both of Kirksville, MO; five great-grandchildren, Tyler and Caitlyn Davis, Kendahl and Kale, and Nolan Davis all of Kirksville, MO; and eight nieces, Kay Bilyeu of El Cajon, CA, Linda Mintle of Scio, OR, Wanda (Mick) Baird of Albany, OR, Janet (Jim) Dobson of Moorcroft, WY, Joyce Ortiz of Gillette, WY, Sandy (Bruce) Mizer of Sacramento, CA, Debbra (Jerry Linn) Carmack of Milan, MO, and Barbie (Dan) Boggs of Wright City, MO.

Merta was a graduate from Bucklin High School. She was employed thirty years for Florsheim Shoe Factory before going to work for Producers Creamery where she was employed thirty years before retiring.

Merta's hobbies included gardening and tending to her flowers, farming, cooking, baking cinnamon rolls and caring for her loved ones.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 with family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville. Interment will follow the service at Green Castle Cemetery in Green Castle, MO.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Davis, Tyler Davis, Tim Davis, Jerry Carter, Ben Mendenhall, and Ron Stanfield.

Memorial donations may be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America, or to the Green Castle Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
