Barbara "Jolene" (McClanahan) Reesman, 88, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born September 28, 1930 in Millard, Missouri, Jolene was the daughter of the late Melvin F. and Irma (Brown) McClanahan. On July 24, 1949 in Kirksville, Missouri, Jolene was united in marriage to Frank Reesman who preceded her in death on December 14, 2011. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Jean Evans.

Jolene is survived by one son, Jerry Dale Reesman of Kirksville, MO; one half brother, Robert McClanahan of Kirksville, MO; one half sister, Marla Bell of FL; four grandchildren, Traci (Jake) Clark, Kristi (Chris) Brewer, Nikki (Slade) Shafer, and Erica (Dylan) Speiser, as well as five great-grandchildren, Grant Ruby, Calvin and Carson Brewer, Rylan Speiser and Dexton Shafer.

Jolene was a life long resident of Adair County and was a graduate from Kirksville High School. She was a homemaker and worked along side her husband Frank at the family business (Reesman Dairy) their entire married life.

Jolene enjoyed cooking, reading, and gardening but most of all loved making Sunday dinners for her family and time spent playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary and member of the World Wide Church of God.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Ralph Wheeler officiating. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Sunday. Interment will follow the service at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Jake Clark, Chris Brewer, Slade Shafer, Grant Ruby, Calvin Brewer, and Norman Davidson.
