Shirley Kaye (Hayden) Findling, 75, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born September 23, 1941 in Edina, Missouri, Shirley was the daughter of the late Everett and Ada (Upright) Hayden. On June 14, 1959 in Kirksville, Missouri, Shirley was united in marriage to Robert Lee "Bob" Findling who preceded her in death on March 13, 2008. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Barker and her step-father, E.J. Pickett.

Shirley is survived by two daughters, Susan Tharp and husband David of Green Castle, MO, and Cindy Hennke of Kirksville, MO; one sister, Mary Jo Page of Greentop, MO; five grandchildren, April (Matt) Lange, and Erik Hennke both of Kirksville, MO, Brian Hennke and Kevin Hennke both of Kansas City, MO and Emily (Justin) Buckallew of Greentop, MO; six great-grandchildren, Victoria Hennke, Morgan Lange, Bentley Hennke, Cora Lange, Quinn Buckallew and Landon Lange, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley resided all of her life in Adair County and was a graduate from Kirksville High School with the Class of 1959. She was employed a number of years for Hollister Inc. in Kirksville until retiring in 2000.

Shirley was always a caregiver and loved helping the elderly. She also enjoyed music, dancing, eating out, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

Shirley had a strong faith and was raised in the Church of the Nazarene in Kirksville. Most recently she attended New Hope Evangelical Church of Kirksville. She was also active with Senior Servants of New Hope and the Christian Women's Luncheon Club.

Public visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2017, with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville.

Pallbearers will be Erik Hennke, Brian Hennke, Kevin Hennke, Matt Lange, Justin Buckallew, and David Tharp.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Travis-Noe Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Chapman officiating. Music selections "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Cross" will be provided by Melvin Bissey. Interment will follow the service at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville.
