Berneice Joan (Burgin) Walker, 78, of Greentop, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Born July 7, 1939 in Kirksville, Missouri, Berneice was the daughter of Tom and Pearl Alice (Stafford) Burgin. On May 25, 1960 Berneice was united in marriage to Clarence Berdean Walker at her home.

Berneice is survived by her husband Clarence of fifty-seven years; one daughter, Renee Lucille Walker of Kirksville, MO; and one brother, Arthur Carol Burgin of Kansas City, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jim, Art and Kenny, and two sisters, Marie and Wanda.

Berneice was a life long resident of Adair County and graduate from Kirksville High School. She was employed for Hollister Inc. in Kirksville a number of years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards (especially Kings in the Corner), and gospel music.

She attended the Glenwood Assembly of God Church and was a member of Kirksville V.F.W. Post 2508.

Family will receive friends on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hazel Creek Cemetery, Northwest of Kirksville.
